Charging

The two limiting factors on charging the Kinetic are:

1. How many kW your power outlet (wall socket) can supply


2. How many kW the charger on the Kinetic can handle

NZ power wall sockets can supply:

220V, 8-10A = 1.6kW—2kW (standard domestic wall socket)

• Less than the vehicle charger can take


• Slow charging on both models

220V, 15A = 3kW

• As much as the Ranger XP Kinetic Premium can take but half of what the Ranger XP Kinetic Ultimate can handle


• Slow charging on the Ranger XP Kinetic Ultimate

220V, 32A = 7kW

• Fast charging on both models

415V, 20A = 8.3kW

• Fast charging on both models

415V, 32A = 13kW

• Fast charging on both models

When using the standard domestic wall socket with the standard supplied charging cable, you’ll get approximately 20 hours of charge time on the Ranger XP Kinetic Ultimate.

To achieve fast charging, an aftermarket charge cable is required. The ideal fast charger will depend on the type of three-phase wall outlet installed on your property. Polaris New Zealand recommends this three-phase charger; alternatively, this adaptable tail charger will suit most wall outlets in New Zealand.
